Chamber Music

Registration

Adult Chamber Music Program at Stony Brook

Each semester, participants are placed in compatible chamber music groups and meet with a coach for five 90-minute sessions in preparation for a concert in the Staller Center Recital Hall. We encourage participants to reserve weekend afternoon and evenings for rehearsals, as that is the time when music studios in the Staller Center are most accessible. In addition to the five coached sessions, we also encourage groups to meet and rehearse on their own. All instruments and levels are welcome, but the ability to read music is a prerequisite.

Spring Schedule:
February 26: Spring Registration Due
February 26: Placement auditions for first-time participants
March 1 – May 22: Open Rehearsal Period
May 22: Dress Rehearsal
May 23: Concert at 3:00 PM, Staller Center Recital Hall
